    Tom Bangs passed away at his home in Pittston, on May 26, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Born on February 26, 1952, Tom was the son of Edwin T. Bangs and Lucille Carbone Bangs both deceased. He is survived by his wife, Kathie Langla Bangs, whom he married in 1978, and father to Brian Michael Bangs. Tom is also survived by a sister, Lorraine Nochta, of Waldwick, NJ and a brother, Ken Bangs, of Pittston, PA (what are the chances of two brothers living in towns with the same name in different states). Born in Hallowell on January 14, 1930, to Fred W. and Gladys Warren Benner, Esther was the second of four children. She graduated from Hallowell High in 1947. While singing in the choir at Old South Church in Hallowell, Esther caught the attention of Alden A. Longfellow, who had recently returned home from military service. They married on October 8, 1949.
