Randolph-Vincent L. Burke, 92, of Randolph passed away on Monday Nov., 26, 2012 at the Maine Veterans Home in Augusta. He was born in Randolph on May 5, 1920, a son of George and Beatrice Crossman Burke.Vincent was a US Army veteran of World War II with service in Germany as a medic. He had been employed at the VA Hospital Togus for over 30 years. He loved to hunt, fish, tinker; he had a passion to make anything mechanical to run. He was predeceased by his wife Katharina Burke on Jan., 7, 2001, his parents, his sisters, Catherine, Connie, Mary and Anna, his brother Herbert and a son in law Jerre Fillmore.He is survived by his son Robert Burke and his wife Nathalie, daughter Elizabeth Fillmore, son Peter Burke and wife Sandra, his brothers Frank and Lawrence, and sisters Madeline and Frances, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins,The family would like to express special thanks to two dear friends, Joan and Jimmy Bickford and our graditute to the staff at Maine Veterans Home for their great support and care.Calling hours will be held Friday, Nov., 30th from 10 to 11am at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner where a funeral service will follow at 11am. Burial with military honors will be held at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Civic Center Drive Augusta.
