Thomas Vincent Moore \r\r\nDec. 11, 1956 Feb. 19, 2015 \r\r\n \r\r\nThomas V. Moore died unexpectedly on February 19, 2015. Tom graduated from Gardiner Area High School class of 1975 and immediately joined the United States Marine Corp with a career vision to become a master drill sergeant. Tom gained rank as a lance corporal in the Marine Reserves and earned a sharp shooter badge. The spring of 1976 was a turning point in Toms life when he was involved in a motorcycle accident resulting in an honorable discharge from the Military. Tom earned an associate degree in accounting from Mid- State Business School. He worked several jobs including bookkeeping at Progressive Distributers and at Home Resources of Maine starting in the finance department, then scheduling home visits throughout the state. After suffering an ischemic stroke in 2004, Tom was no longer able to work. Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing, nascar and the history channel. Tom resided at Chateau Cushnoc in Augusta where many friendships were forged over the past several years. \r\r\nTom was predeceased by his brother Jim Moore and nephew Garik Nason Carr. He is survived by his loving and supportive parents James and Mary Moore; siblings Mary (Chuck) Veilleux, Kathy (Frank) Carr, Michelle VandenBosch, Denise (Larry) Brann, Elaine (Dan) Murray, Sam Moore, Steve (Kelli) Moore, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and special friend Lori Campbell. \r\r\nA memorial service will be held at the families convenience in late spring/early summer. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Toms name to MaineGeneral Rehabilitation Services to support electronic stimulation therapy.
