Terry L Goggin, 63, of West Gardiner died June 7, 2009 unexpectedly at his home in West Gardiner. He was born on February 8, 1946 in Gardiner, son of Olevia (Tillson) and Samuel Goggin.He was a 1964 graduate of Gardiner High School where he was a standout athlete in both baseball and football. After graduation, he attended Western Kentucky University.He was employed by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT before moving back to Maine and working for St. Johnsbury Trucking Co. for 22 years. He was currently employed by MESCA in Hallowell.He was an avid golfer playing at both Cobbossee Colony and Sheepscot Links, his most enjoyable rounds were with his two sons. He loved growing up in Randolph and always loved telling his children and granddaughters his 'Randolph Stories'. His favorite thing to do was to spend time at camp on Cobbossee Lake with his children and granddaughters. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Sam and Rob.He is survived by his best friend and wife of 43 years, Carolyn (Nason) Goggin of West Gardiner; son Gregg of Randolph, daughter Ann Chevalier of San Diego, CA, and son Sean and his wife, Candace of West Gardiner.His granddaughters, Kallie, Cassidy, and Kiara were his pride and joy and along with his three children and daughter in law, were the best things in his world.At his request there will be no public visiting hours or services. At a later date there will be a celebration of his life with family and friends.
