Sarah Nason Obituary (1941 - 2013)

Hallowell-Sarah Jane Nason, 72, of Hallowell died unexpectedly Friday, August 30, 2013 at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Gardiner, ME on January 13, 1941 a daughter of Kenneth and Margaret (Donovan) Marriner. She graduated from Gardiner High School Class of 1959 and went on to Gates Secretarial School graduating in 1961. Sarah was employed at the Attorney General's Office and Public Utilities Commission for many years. Sarah enjoyed traveling with her family, especially trips to Hawaii and Vegas. She also enjoyed SHOPPING, Old Orchard Beach, cooking and entertaining family during the holidays. Sarah's home was always a favorite spot for family and friends on Old Hallowell Day. Sarah was predeceased by her daughter Suzanne S. Nason. She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty years Robert K. Nason of Hallowell, her son Kenneth R. Nason and wife Joelle of Dracut, MA, her son Eric L. Nason and his partner Dottie Perry of Hallowell. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Jackson and husband Ernest of Cumberland, her brother Lee Marriner of Franklin, NH, and special cousin Gail Mazzaro of Ann Arbor, Michigan. A service will be held Friday, Sept 6th at 11am at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. Reception will follow. Private burial will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery.
