CHELSEA-Ronald E. Lewis-age 80 of Chelsea-died on December 15, 2010 at Maine General Medical Center on Augusta.He was born December6, 1930 in Randolph, the soon of Raymond A. and Doris (Rines) Lewis. He graduated from Gardiner Area High School. He was always known as Buddy by many people, his state workers and fellow Guardsmen called him Mutley. He retired from the State of Maine where he worked as a offset press operator at Camp Keyes where he was a member of the Maine Army National Guard for over forty-one years He was an avid sports fan following the Gardiner Tigers, Boston Red Sox, and the Colts. He also was an avid candlepin bowler. He liked to watch the old westerns. He enjoyed his family gatherings, his vacations at Moosehead Lake and at Christmas time with the family.He married the love of his life Priscilla (Miller) on July 24, 1953.They were as happily married for 57 years.He is predeased by his parents, a daughter Debra Sue, Brothers Richard E. A. and Randall Lewis, a sister Virginia Preshong, a brother-in-law Gerald Miller and a son-in-law Henry Kimball.He is survived by his wife Priscilla (Miller) Lewis, two daughters Cynthia Kimball and Ramona Lewis and son-in-law Roger Lemar of Randolph, two sons Russell Lewis and wife Beatrice and Robert Lewis of Chelsea, two sisters Mildred Foster of Pittston and Linda Jamison and husband Richard of Randolph, two sisters-in-law Alice Lewis of Randolph, Rebecca Lewis of Belfast, Linda and Mike Cormier of Augusta, Shirley Miller of Winslow and brother and sister-in-law Mary and Bill Miller of Pennsylvania, 4 grandchildren Tarah Diffin, Shawn Kimball and wife Joyce, Ryan Cote of Chelsea and Heather Gilbert and husband Matt of Winslow, 11 great-grandchildren several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.There will be public visiting hours Friday, December 17th from 2-4 and 6-8 at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave. Gardiner. The funeral will be on Saturday December 18th at 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
