Robert Gushue, Jr Obituary (1956

Gardiner-Robert E. Gushue, Jr, 58, of Gardiner died unexpectedly Thursday April 3, 2014 at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 2, 1956 a son of Robert Sr and Joan Carneglia. Robert was a US Army veteran of Vietnam War. He was a diesel mechanic while in the service. His friends knew him as “Brooklyn”. He was a loving father and grandfather. He is predeceased by his wife Mary Mocciola in 1993. He is survived by his son, Anthony Gushue of Gardiner, son, Zachary Mocciola of Augusta, his former wife Pamela Alsop of Gardiner, three grandchildren, Julianna, Anastasia and Mariya Gushue, two sisters, Jeannie S and Kathy M both of New York City, several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner on Saturday April 12 at 2pm. Burial with military honors will be later in the spring beside his wife in the oak Grove Cemetery Gardiner. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Anthony to help with final expenses.
