AUGUSTA -- Pauline Mary Eastman, 91, of Augusta and formerly of Randolph and New Gloucester, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.She was born in Gardiner on April 30, 1917, a daughter of George and Ruth Demers Gingrow.Pauline was a longtime member of St. Michael's Parish. She had been employed during the 1950s at Manson and Church Drug Store in Gardiner.She was predeceased by her husband, Hollis R. Eastman, on March 17, 2007; two brothers, Thomas G. Gingrow, formerly of Smyrna, Tenn., and Theodore T. Gingrow, formerly of Hallowell; and her sister, Marguerite R. Larrabee, formerly of Litchfield. She is survived by her brother, Philip R. Gingrow and his wife, Winnifred, of Augusta; her sister-in-law, Lorena Gingrow, of North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Gardiner. Burial will follow in the new Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road in Augusta, beside her husband. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Michael's Parish Building Fund, 41 Western Ave., Augusta, ME 04330.Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
