Marna Crill Obituary (1941

Gardiner-Marna Jean (Peterson) Crill of Gardiner left this world on October 19, 2013 while at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta after a brief battle with cancer.She was born in Portland Oregon on January 24, 1941, the oldest daughter of Jean E. Shelton and B. Wayne Peterson. She graduated from Cleveland High School in Portland, Oregon in 1958 and soon after started her family.She held a few jobs outside the home but devoted the majority of her time to taking care of her home and family which were her pride and joy.Once the grandchildren arrived “spoiling” them became her favorite pastime. She was a woman who loved life and always had a smile to share with everyone.She loved music and old movies and most of the time she had her favorite radio station or records playing, singing right along.She and her husband also loved to travel. There was always a bag packed with essentials that could be ready at the drop of a hat to take them on a new adventure.She enjoyed her flower gardens, loved reading and crafts, needlework, crocheting and knitting; donating many mittens and scarves to local schools.There is no doubt that she will live on in the hearts of all those who love her. She is survived by her husband Larry R. Crill of Gardiner, her children Nancy and Norman Bossie of Chelsea as well as her grandson Brian Bossie also of Chelsea, her sons William Erbacher and his family of Indiana and Steve Crill and his family of Nevada.She is also survived by her sisters Lynda P. Caywood of Hayden, Idaho and Vicki B. and Ray Adame of Redondo Beach, California, step children Sandra Hood and her family of Michigan, Sean Crill and his family and Stephanie McBride and her family both of Virginia as well as many nieces and nephews. A committal service will be held at the Maine Veterans Cemetery on October 28, 2013 at 1:00pm In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Disabled American Veterans.
