Randolph - Linwood A. Fraser, Sr. , 80, of Randolph died Monday Dec. 13, 2010 at the MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. He was born in Gardiner on Aug. 31, 1930 a son of Arthur and Beulah (Murphy) Fraser.Linwood was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Coast Guard Reserves, National Guard and US Naval Reserve. He was employed as a letter carrier at the Gardiner Post Office retiring in 1986 after 27 years of service. He was a graduate of Gardiner High School Class of 1948. He began his working career as a driver for Rogers/Williams Construction Company, Togus VA, US Postal Service and as a bus driver for MSAD # 11.He was a member and past master of the Gardiner Masonic Herman Lodge 32 AF&AM. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Uncle Roy Fraser, granddaughters Alana French and Hailey Farrell. He is survived by his wife Joyce of Randolph with whom he just celebrated 50 years of marriage, daughter Jill French and husband Harold of Windsor, son Linwood, Jr., of Idaho Falls, Idaho, daughter, Jan Farrell and husband Michael of Odenton, Maryland, step mother Dorothy Fraser of Farmingdale, grandchildren, Crystal Fortin and husband Ryan of Chelsea, Kayla and Hunter Farrell of MD and great-granddaughter Audrey Fortin of Chelsea. Two special cousins Barbara Bryant and Beryl Karkos both of Lisbon Falls and special friends Dave and Judy Abbott of West Gardiner. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner where a funeral service will be held Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the family lot in the Litchfield Plains Cemetery.
