John Morrison, Sr. Obituary (1942

Pittston-John C. Morrison, Sr, 69, of Pittston died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb., 20, 2012 at his home. He was born in Malden, Ma on August 7, 1942 a son of Dean Sr and Dorothy McCullough Morrison. John was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Graduate of Gardiner High School, he was employed as a truck driver, logger and a heavy equipment operator retiring in 1996 due to a disability.His two Percheron draft horses Bill and Bob were his pride and joy. He was predeceased by his sister Jane Morrison and his parents.He is survived by his three sons, John C. Morrison, Jr and wife Kim of Greenbush, Scott Morrison and wife Lisa of Bar Harbor and Jeff Morrison and wife Marilyn of Barrington, NH, his brother Dean Morrison of Rangeley, four grandchildren, Samantha, Marilyn, Megan and Joshua. His family would like to give special thanks to his friends, the Kelley family and Ross for their multiple kindnesses shown to our father.Visiting hours will be from 11 am to 1pm on Saturday Feb 25th at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner.Graveside services with military honors will be held in the spring in the family lot in the Evergreen Cemetery in Rangeley.Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave. Gardiner
