Henry S.Truman Sr. 72, Collins Rd. Chelsea died 13 Sept. 2011 at Maine General Medical Center, Augusta Campus, following a long illness. He was born in Gardiner, March 19, 1939, the son of Sherwood and Jeannette Duguay Truman. Henry was employed by Sam B. Gas as a mechanic, William Construction as truck driver, and was self employed for many years as a mechanic and owner of Truman's Auto Parts. He served in the United States Army and United States Air Force. He also served on the Chelsea Fire Department from 1974-1983. He was predeceased by his wife Betty L. Taylor Truman in April 2011, his parents, and his daughter Kitty Truman.Surviving is his children David Truman and wife Linda of Shiner, Tx; Almon Truman and his wife Diane, of Chelsea, Joan Meyers and her husband Jim of Swanton, OH; and Henry S. Truman Jr. and his wife Sheri of Chelsea. He is also survived by his brother David Truman of Winslow; and two sisters Joan Moody of Newport and Kitty White of Augusta. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren with several nieces and nephews and one aunt Joan Brann.A brief grave side service at the Veterans Cemetery on Mr. Vernon Road in Augusta at 9:00 am on Sept 19, 2011. A celebration of his life will be at his home at 152 Collins Rd. from 1:00-4:00 pm on Saturday, Sept 17, 2011.In lieu of flowers please bring a dish to share.
