Frederick (Ted) McMaster Obituary (1938 - 2015)

Frederick Miles (Ted) McMaster went to be with the Lord June 17, 2015. Born in Bellows Falls VT. February 2, 1938 to Evelyn and Frederick (Fred) McMaster. He spent his formative years in Medway, MA. He was proceeded in death by his Mother Evelyn, Father Frederick McMaster, Sister Sandra Gromberg, Brother Pete McMaster, Brother Donald McMaster, and Son Frederick Louis McMaster. He leaves behind his loving wife of 29 years, Bonnie Willis McMaster, Sister Dorothy Dottie Beksha of Medway MA. Sons Robert (Barbetta) McMaster of Mason, Ohio, Patrick McMaster of Trussville Alabama, Michel, Mish (Jaqueline) McMaster of Tomah WI. Jason (Sarah) McMaster of Alabaster Alabama, Carrie (Lester) Dancer of Randolph ME. Daniel Sanders of Chelsea Alabama, Nathan (Bridget) Sanders of Montevallo AL. and Dana Whitlock of Birmingham Alabama, 27 grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Ted made the greatest decision of his life accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2010. A graduate of the University of Maine, Ted Proudly served his country in the US Army from 1955 to 1957 and the US Navy from 1958 to 1968. He also served in the Kennebec Power Squadron as Safety Officer, and the Civil Air Patrol in Birmingham Alabama. Electronic Engineer, Pilot, Inventor, and Entrepreneur, His greatest joy was as a husband, father, and grandfather. Founder and Co-Founder of three successful businesses, Ted Opened his first company, Shelby Communications in 1970. Later, He, along with Billy Hinds and Kenneth Campbell formed Computer Resources, Inc. in 1982. CRI went on to become the largest provider of Management Information Systems for the Mobile Radio Communications Industry. Ted took an early retirement and moved to Gardiner ME. Where he later formed MCM, Inc. Providing advanced Management and Billing systems to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and again to the Mobile Communications Industry as well as Asset Management for Local, State, and Federal Governments providing real time asset management to First Responders. Ted loved life and new challenges, earning his pilots license as well as instrument rating. As a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Ted flew search and rescue missions as well as Drug Enforcement missions over Alabama. He loved flying, sailing, and camping. He had a lifelong love of music. When he was on business trips he would always call the love of his life (Bonnie) to sing her a song. He had an intense love of traveling, and seeing new places. Despite his many accomplishments in life his greatest joy was his family. He made everyone around him feel loved. His Grandchildren meant the world to him and Papa was a treasure to them. Visiting hours will be held Sunday June 21st from 3 to 5 Ppm at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave. Gardiner ME.
