Father Bruce Alexander Obituary (1930

We celebrate the life of Father Bruce Ames Alexander, born August 6th, 1930 in Rockland Maine to Leonard Ezekiel Frank Alexander and Nettie Mae Call Alexander. Father Alexander passed on March 27th, 2018. He spent his life in Dresden Maine, where he graduated from Bridge Academy in 1949, was married to Marjorie Moody Alexander on September 9th, 1953, and together with her raised their four children. He was an avid listener of classical music and opera and had a great interest in local and national history. Father Alexander also served at several churches in the area, including the Riverview Congregational Church in South Gardiner, Christ Church in Gardiner, and St Matthias in Richmond. After many years of loyal service and dedicated presence in the church community, he became ordained as a priest of the Episcopal Church. Father Alexander is survived by his wife Marjorie; his son Bruce and partner Hope Ricker; his daughter Susan Seeley, his daughter Andrea Salib, his daughter Celia Alexander and husband Artie Karagiozis, and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 4th at 1 pm at Christ Church Episcopal in Gardiner.
