Elmyra Polley Obituary (1928 - 2012)

RICHMOND -- Elmyra Margaret Polley, 83, of Richmond, died Thursday, May 10, 2012, at her home following a long illness. She was born in Mexico on Dec. 28, 1928, a daughter of Everett and Regina Arsenault Harkness.She enjoyed bingo, card games and her children, whom she loved very much.Elmyra had 17 children, five of whom are deceased: Margaret Maloy, Barbara Rideout, George Rideout, Carroll Small and David Polley. Two brothers and a sister also predeceased her.She is survived by Louise Markham of Oklahoma, Elizabeth Page of Augusta, Shirley Parker of Lewiston, Thomas Davies of Bowdoin, Ronald Childs of Litchfield, Kathy Polley of Richmond, Virginia Hammond of Millinocket, Kenneth Polley of Lewiston, June Baden-Owens of Lewiston, Tammy Pettengille of Mount Vernon, Mark Polley of Lewiston and Lori Musial of Litchfield; 59 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.Visiting hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, where a service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the family lot in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bowdoin
