Conrad Fyfe, Sr Obituary (1937

Pittston - It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Fyfe family regrets to announce the unexpected passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Conrad Raoul Fyfe Sr., a man dedicated to his family and friends. Conrad was born on November 2, 1937 in Harris, Rhode Island to Helen Proux and Arthur Fyfe. He and his family moved to the Pittston, Maine area when he was four years old. Conrad entered the U.S. Air force in 1957 and served honorably until 1960. His employment history includes the Boys and Girls Club of Gardiner, M.S.A.D. #11, Webber Oil, F.N. Boston Fuel, Gardiner Fuel, Williams Construction, and Warrens construction among others. His passions included fishing, spending time with family, and of course his music. As a talented musician from the age of eight years old, Conrad was especially proud of the Freedom Riders, the family band he kept active for 40+ years until his untimely passing. He cultivated a love of music in his children at an early age and that love continues to grow with each generation. He is also a proud member of the Maine Academy of Country Music. Conrad was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Arthur Fyfe, his brother Edward Fyfe, and his step-son Kevin Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife Merlene Fyfe, his children, Wanda Bolduc and husband Mike, Micheal Fyfe and wife Brenda, Tammy Miville and husband Steve, Charlie Rideout and wife Tammy, Cynthia Leighton, Tammy Costigan and husband Patrick, Scott Brann and wife Charity, Reggie Brann and partner Stacy, Conrad Fyfe Jr. and wife Susan, Ervin Fyfe and wife Jessica, Tiffany Cunningham, Chad Fyfe and partner Mandy, Jared Fyfe and wife Stephanie, his canine companion Dallas, as well as his 40 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services for Conrad will be on Monday, February 13, from 2-6 pm, at the American Legion Post 4 at 46 Griffen St. Gardiner, Me. A burial with full military honors is scheduled for 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 14, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery on the Mount Vernon rd. in Augusta.Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner
