Christopher (Chris) Graham Obituary (1966 - 2016)

Farmingdale- Christopher (Chris) John Graham, 50, of Farmingdale passed away unexpectedly as a result of a motorcycle accident in Pittston on Saturday November 19, 2016. Christopher was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 3, 1966, the youngest son of Robert James Graham Jr. and Johan (Titus) Graham. Chris was a Hall-Dale High School graduate Class of 1985. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country until he was honorably discharged in 1992. Chris received various medals and awards, some include Kuwait Liberation Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, National Service Defense Medal, and First Good Conduct Award to name a few. He held various jobs in the area throughout his working career. Chris had a great love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. One of his greatest joys was being on his Harley Davidson, he loved to ride! Chris loved being with his family and friends. He was quiet the character and truly a selfless man, always giving in any way he could. Chris had a heart of gold and a contagious smile and laugh. He was predeceased by his father Robert J. Graham Jr in 1975. Christopher is survived by his Mother Johan Graham of Farmingdale, 2 Brothers; Robert Morgan Graham and wife Faye of Minot, Hugh Graham and wife Sharon of Farmingdale, Sister Jenny Hansen and husband Carl of Gardiner, Nieces and Nephews who affectionately called him Uncle Gummy Bear; Julie St. Hilaire and husband Brian, Lindsey Mattson and husband Aaron, James Graham and wife Denise, Seth Hansen, Tyler Tripp and wife Dorie and Jocelyn Tripp, great nieces and nephews; Hannah, Jade, Jack, Gage, Reagan, Gavin and Abby, his beloved dog and best friend Sampson, as well as extended family and many dear friends. Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Staples Funeral Home, visiting hours will be 11am to 12pm, directly followed by a funeral service at 12pm, followed by a procession to Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel Mt. Vernon Rd Augusta for the committal at 2 pm with Military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Travis Mills Foundation or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
