Christine Gagne Obituary (1959 - 2016)

Gardiner Christine M Gagne, 56, of Gardiner passed following a short illness on Friday May 6, 2016 at the MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta with her family by her side. Chris was born in Gardiner on September 7, 1959 a daughter of Althea Hustus Hawes. She was a graduate of Gardiner High School class of 1977. She was most recently employed at Full Circle Support in Hallowell. Christine was employed in the mental health field for twelve years often times working two jobs. She had a very kind helpful heart often helping people in need. She started a program in memory of her mother to help out people with gifts and food. Christine was a creative person, creating delicious foods when she owned Jennis Cakes and catering making numerous birthday cakes for members of the family. She loved arranging flowers creating gift baskets and multiple other crafts. She helped many people and touched so many lives, she never knew how many. She was always helping kids during the holidays. She loved going on Carnival Cruises with her daughter. Christine was predeceased by her mother Althea Hawes and her beloved husband Clement Gagne. She is survived by her best friend and daughter Jennifer Gagne and her loving brother Allan Hawes and many loving aunts and uncles and special aunts Lucinda Lemar and LoisAnn Gordon and many cousins. Visiting hours will be held Thursday May 12th from 11am to 1pm at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 1pm in Oak Grove Cemetery Gardiner
