GARDINER – Catherine A. (Holland) Pazdziorko, 86, of Water Street, Gardiner died Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at MaineGeneral Medical Center.\r\n\r\nCatherine was born in Ebervale, PA and was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Sabol) Holland. She was a communicant of Saint Michael Parish, Saint Joseph Church, Gardiner. She was a devout servant of God and had a deep spiritual faith with a special devotion to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. She attended prayer meetings at St. Paul Center, was a Eucharistic minister and volunteered her time at church craft fairs, preparing holiday food baskets, and office work at the rectory.\r\n\r\nOver the years she worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone, worked in retail shoe store at Rex Shoe Company and finished her working career in housekeeping department at Gardiner General Hospital. Her most important job of all was being a wife, mother and grandmother.\r\n\r\nCatherine was a member of two senior citizen clubs, 4-Leaf Clover Senior Citizens of Gardiner and the Oldies But Goodies Senior Club of Gardiner. She enjoyed food, going out to eat, taking rides in the country, visiting the seashore and watching beautiful sunsets.\r\n\r\nShe was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Emil A. Pazdziorko, in 2010. She was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph Holland, Sr.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her three sons Stephen and his wife Therese, Otisville, MI; Mark and his wife Maria, Trenton, ME; Emil J., Gardiner, ME; a daughter Crystal Proulx and her husband Ron, Bow, NH; and brother Vincent Holland and his wife Claire, West Wyoming, PA. She also leaves behind four grandchildren Graham, Caitlin, Matthew and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nA Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 14th at 11:00 AM at Saint Joseph Church, Gardiner. A gathering of family and friends at church before Mass will take place from 10:00-11:00 AM. A graveside committal service next to her husband will be held at 1:00 PM on the same day at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.\r\n\r\nArrangements are in the care of Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 53 Brunswick Ave. Gardiner, Maine.
