Cary Howard Bell, 65, of Albee Road, Augusta died peacefully at the VA Togus Hospice Unit on October 14, 2011.He was born June 23, 1946 in Morristown, and grew up in Parsippany, NJ.He was predeceased by his parents Howard and Mildred Bell.He is survived by his best friends and partners, Don Moody and Don Chimera of Augusta, his sisters, Bonnie (Larry ) Zeh and Donna (Stan) Wojcik of Mt. Tabor , NJ , four nieces ,a nephew and five grand nephews.Cary was proud to have served in the United States Air Force. He moved to Maine 25 years ago where he worked in retail for Wal-Mart and for VIP Auto Parts. He enjoyed his work and readily made friends while assisting customers with his open and friendly manner. His love of animals, especially dogs, was evident to his friends and co-workers. He enjoyed the study of history and was particularly knowledgeable about the World War II era. He was a life-long Methodist and an active member and participant in the life of Highland Avenue United Methodist Church in Gardiner where he enjoyed working on church suppers and singing in the church choir.
