Augusta-Beverly M. McFadden, 96, of Augusta died Saturday March 29, 2014 at the Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitation. She was born in Oakland on March 17, 1918 a daughter of Maynard and Ida Durgin Palmer. \r\r\nShe was educated in Oakland schools. Beverly took care of all of her grandchildren. She loved to babysit. She was devoted to reading her bible every day. Her biggest passion was collecting jewelry. \r\r\nShe was predeceased by her three sisters and two brothers and her husband Aubrey McFadden and her son Richard McFadden. \r\r\nShe is survived by her daughter Virginia Adams of Augusta, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. \r\r\nVisiting hours will be held Tuesday from 11am to 1pm at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner where a service will follow at 1pm. Burial with committal prayers will be later this spring in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in South Gardiner.
