Randolph- Barbara (Zwicker) Tyler, 86, of 28 Kinderhook Street, died peacefully surrounded by family Monday, October 10, 2011.She was born August, 29, 1925 in Jackson, Maine, the daughter of Lowell (Tom) and Florence (Morten) Zwicker.She was a 1943 graduate of Morse Memorial High School.On October 11, 1947 she married Franklin (Frank) P. Tyler, who died February 10, 1998. They were married 50 years. She was also predeceased by a stillborn baby daughter. Barbara was predeceased by her sisters, Emma Bryant, Irene Knight, Helen Zwicker, Glenita Mudie, and brothers Roland Zwicker and Arthur (Lowell) Zwicker, sisters-in-law Bettina Lewis, Irene McCollett, Christine Zwicker and Julia Zwicker and brother-in-law Lewis (Ted) E. Tyler.She was employed, along with her husband Frank, by various shoe shops, including Truitt Brothers Shoes for many years.Barbara enjoyed gardening, dancing, knitting, spending time with all her friends in the screen house, spending time with family, camping, games, going for walks in nature, shopping and spending time outdoors.She was a member of Post 2, American Legion Auxiliary, Gardiner Senior Citizens and Cushnoc Senior Citizens.She is survived by son, Michael L. Tyler and his wife Linda of Randolph; and daughter Brenda Tyler Colfer and her husband Mark of Farmingdale; grandson Tighe Colfer of Augusta, and granddaughter Tawnya Colfer of West Gardiner, and her brother Raymond Zwicker of Massachusetts. Other survivors include special sister-in-law Ruth Cusick and Margaret Greeley both of Farmingdale and Frances Zwicker of Brownville Junction along with many wonderful nieces and nephews.By her request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.
