Annie M. Trask \r\r\n \r\r\nGardiner – Annie M. Trask, 89, of Gardiner died Saturday, January 4th, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Pittston. She was born in Milltown, New Brunswick on April 4th, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Catherine Rhyno. Annie was a shoe stitcher for many years at Hazard, Gardiner, and Truitt Bros. shoe factories. She married Donald E. Trask of Hallowell on September 28th, 1946 and they later built a home in Gardiner. Annie and Donald enjoyed travelling and betting on the races at the Windsor Fair, and she was a frequent winner at Beano games. Annie was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Every Wednesday Annie and her daughter Sally were seen about town doing errands and shopping, and she had many friends at the Bank of Maine, the Hannaford’s store on the Whitten Road, and at Rebecca’s Place in Augusta. \r\r\n \r\r\nAnnie was predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald E. Trask, her brother in-laws Henry Kimball of Gardiner, Leslie Trask and Robert Trask of Hallowell. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Kimball of Gardiner; her sister in-law, Eleanor Trask of Hallowell; her daughter Sally and her husband Greg Dow of Pittston, and her grandsons Ben Dow and his fiancé Katrina Chasse of Winslow, and Erik Dow of Boston; her daughter Linda Trask of Morrill; her granddaughter Jennifer Sanderson of Belfast, and her great granddaughters Ayla Fitzjurls and Adria Barrows of Belfast, and many nieces and nephews. \r\r\n \r\r\nHer family would like to thank the Maine General Home Care & Hospice services for all their help, as well as Dr.’s Kevin Kane and David Hutchins for their many years of care for our mother.
